WELCOME! Our new Science-Corps Fellows, 

Dr. Tanvi Chheda and Dr. Matthew Solt.

 

 

Dr. Chheda, (PhD, Stanford University, Major in Geological Sciences, minor in Management Science and Engineering) will be involved in the Research/Capstone Project for Grade 12 STEM and ABM. She will be collaborating online with CVIF SHS instructors, Drs. Chris and Marivic Bernido (PhD, SUNY, USA, Physics), Ms. Kimverly Ranoco (BS Chemistry, UP Visayas) and Ms. Sherry Indino (BS Management, UP Visayas) for the supervision of research projects of STEM and ABM students. 

 

Dr. Solt, (PhD, Stanford University, Physics; BSE in Mechanical Engineering) is planning a Computational and Robotics Program for the school using affordable equipment. He will be collaborating with CVIF SHS Instructors, Engr. J. Fernando Z. Carpio (LlB, UP Diliman, BS Mech. Eng., UNC, Naga), Engr. John Robert Tipon (BS Mech. Eng., BISU), Engr. Cletus Caido (BS Electronics & Comm. Eng., BIT-IC), Ms. Rochelle Mae Torreon (BS Comp. Science, BISU), Mr. Rey Aceron (Comp. Sys. Serv., TESDA).  Aside from this, Dr. Solt is also planning a Robotics Workshop (with Python) once travel to CVIF is deemed feasible.

 

CVIF DLP Learning Activities for Python were prepared earlier by Dr. Victor Sojo (PhD, Evolutionary Biology, LMU Munich, Science Corps fellow, 2018) and Dr. Hyunjin Shim (PhD, Biotechnology and Bioengineering, EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland, Science Corps fellow, 2018).
